CARS Practice

CARS practice should train judgment, not just expose you to more passages.

Most students do not need endless CARS passages. They need a tighter way to read, identify author stance, and eliminate tempting answers under time pressure.

Reading process

A better CARS process starts with the spine of the passage.

You do not need to remember everything. You need to track what the author is doing, what claim each paragraph serves, and where the passage turns.

Answer selection

Most CARS misses happen during elimination.

A wrong answer often feels right because it is nearby, exaggerated, or broadly reasonable. The skill is noticing where it breaks.
